FAQs

01. Does docare.ch integrate with my medical practice system?
It depends on your software. Your medical practice system may access docare.ch through our standard HL7® FHIR® based application programming interface (API). We have published the API documentation for your software provider on this website. Please drop us a message, if you want to partner and seamlessly integrate with us.
02. How do you protect the data?
The data transfers between your medical practice and your patients are encrypted (256-bit TLS). The employees of your medical practice are required to login with a personal password and a two-factor authentication (SMS code). Any access to the system is tracked in an audit trail. All data is exclusively stored in Switzerland and hosted by a certified Swiss cloud provider.
03. Who has access to the patient’s personal data (PII)?
Only your medical practice has access to the personal data of a patient record (personally identifiable information). Any sensitive health information is pseudonymized/anonymized to guarantee data privacy (256-bit AES encryption). We are subject to Swiss law and comply with the EU General Data Protection Regulation. For any further details, please consult our data privacy statement.
04. What therapeutic areas do you support?
We are currently offering high quality anamnesis questionnaires for “Dermatology” and “Gynecology”. Interested in adding your therapeutic area? Please drop us a message and we are happy to get back to you.
05. Who is docare.ch?
The online service for the Swiss medical practice is provided by MSD Merck Sharp & Dohme AG, Lucerne, Switzerland. At MSD, we have made it our mission to contribute to improving health around the world.
06. What about the costs?
Great question. Our service is free of charge for your medical practice and your patients.
